Trust & FAQ

Why you can trust us.

This industry has a scam problem. Companies have taken money from families like yours and delivered nothing — the FTC shut some of them down. So we're going to be blunt about how we work, what we promise, and what happens if we fall short.

Tracking on every order.

Cards and prints ship USPS with tracking. Flowers are confirmed on delivery. Your confirmation email always includes the tracking number or delivery confirmation.

Real refunds.

If we miss our delivery window, you choose: a full refund or a re-send. You don't have to argue for it — it's policy.

Secure payments.

We never see or store your card number. Every payment runs through Stripe, the same processor used by millions of businesses.

A real business.

Hold It Down is operated by First Flight Investments LLC, Henrico, Virginia. Real company, real people — Harold and Karmelita handle every escalation personally.

No fake reviews.

You'll never see a testimonial on this site that isn't from a real buyer. When our first customers review us, those reviews will be real, or they won't be here.

What families say

No reviews yet — we're new.
When real customers review us, their words will appear here, in their own words. Nothing on this page will ever be written by us.

Your legal protection

The FTC Mail Order Merchandise Rule, in plain English

When you order online, the law says we must ship within the time we promise — or within 30 days if we promise nothing — or give you the choice of a refund or a delay.

Our promises:

Cards and prints: 5–7 business days via USPS.
Flowers: same-day or next-day.

If we can't hit those windows, we tell you, and you choose: wait, or get refunded. That's the law, and it's our policy.

Questions, answered

Who orders and pays?

You do — the family member on the outside. Your loved one never orders, pays, or signs up for anything. Their name only appears on the card, in your words.

Why does it work that way?

Prisons can discipline inmates for conducting a business inside without permission. Keeping the order 100% on the family's side keeps your loved one clear of that risk.

How long does delivery take?

Cards and prints: 5–7 business days via USPS, with tracking. Flowers: same-day or next-day, hand-delivered by a local florist.

What if my order is late?

You choose: full refund or re-send. Email us and it's handled — Harold and Karmelita see every escalation.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Anytime. No calls, no hoops — cancel from your Stripe receipt or email us.

Do you ship to correctional facilities?

No. Cards and prints go to the home address you provide. We don't ship directly to correctional facilities — every facility has its own mail rules, and we won't risk your gift being rejected at the gate.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Payments run through Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
